The scope of this project is to extend Spruce Street from East Dowling Road (EDR) to East 64th Avenue, and to upgrade the existing stretch of Spruce Street between East 64th and East 68th Avenues.

The goal of this project is to reduce through traffic on neighborhood streets, increase connectivity within the road network, improve response times for emergency vehicles, and improve pedestrian facilities.

Possible modifications to the existing street may include expansion and upgrade of the existing storm drainage system, construction/reconstruction of the roadway, new pavement, upgrades to pedestrian facilities, street lighting, and limited landscape enhancements within the corridor.

Preliminary design is still underway for Spruce Street road improvements. AS this project moves forward updates will be provided to the project area neighbors.
