TULALIP RESORT CASINO HOTEL and CONVENTION CENTER

As a continuation of previous work done for The Tulalip Tribes on their Quil Ceda Village commercial project, DOWL HKM was selected to provide civil engineering and survey services for a new $130 million, 12-story, 273-room hotel and conference center developed adjacent to the Tulalip Casino. Working in conjunction with the project architect DOWL HKM provided topographic survey mapping and design studies for siting alternatives for the new hotel. With the selection of a location adjoining the casino on the south side, DOWL HKM worked with the architect on site demolition plans and utility relocations needed to begin the hotel pile foundation. Drainage studies were conducted to confirm the capacity of existing drainage systems to accommodate the new project and civil site engineering construction documents were prepared. Involvement during the construction phase began with survey control layout for the construction contractor and then project engineer support for Request for Information and submittal review as well as site observations and general on-call consultations.
